Where to eat on the Kenai Peninsula?
After a long day of fishing or exploring the Kenai Peninsula there is no better way to end the day than with delicious food and drink. One of my favorite parts of traveling is exploring the local food scene and searching out the best local cuisine. You never know what you are going to find, sometimes it’s a food truck, or an off the grid back-alley dive bar or hidden mom and pop diner.
Top 3 favorite places to eat on the Kenai Peninsula.
#1 Addy cAMP
This is by far my favorite place to eat in Alaska. Addy Camp is located at the edge of Soldotna. Everything on the menu is superb, I have literally tried it all. One highlight is their fresh hydroponic grown greens, their salads are unrivaled. I highly recommend this place; you will not be disappointed. You will want to make a reservation as they are always packed.
#2 Kenai River Brewing Co
Brews and burgers are top notch at the Kenai River Brewery. It is a kid friendly environment, and the service is quick so there is no need for a reservation. Kenai Brewing Company has dozens of micro brews and seltzers on tap. Their food is excellent and very reasonably priced. The French Onion soup is to die for and their chicken wings are fire. A local favorite is their “Sloshy” which is a blended alcohol drink similar to a Slurpee. Just try one… you will thank me later.
#3 The Flats Bistro
The Flats Bistro is located in Kenai, Ak. Dynamite food with an incredible view. With a huge wine selection and amazing craft cocktails, insanely good food and great service The Flats Bistro is a must do while on the Kenai Peninsula. Be sure to make a reservation as this is a very popular place to dine.
