Fishing Report June 21st, 2023: Kasilof River King Salmon and Sockeye
Winter decided to stay late this year and summer really hasn’t decided to show up but is threatening to break out any day now, fingers crossed. It’s been an unusually cold and rainy spring/summer so far and the fish showed a bit late. Fishing wasn’t lights out but we worked hard and had a successful King Salmon season on the Kasilof River. We were very thankful for the early arrival of some very eager to bite Sockeye that helped provide action between encounters with King Salmon. All in all, it has been a great start to the summer. Both the Russian and Kasilof River Sockeye runs are starting out strong which is a good sign of things to come. We have a few trips left for King Salmon and then we will be going into full Sockeye mode until Aug. 10th. We still have a few dates open for peak Sockeye and September Silver/Trout trips. Give us a shout if you want to get on the water and catch some fish! 360-780-0121
